Aromas of black currants, tobacco, and vanilla. Flavors of cassis, blackberries, and dark chocolate. Full bodied profile with coarse tannins, complex palate, and broad mouthfeel. 2014 was one of the best vintages California has seen. Warm days and cool nights yielded wines with ripe flavors, ample structure, and balanced acidity.

This wine is quite approachable but has the acidity and tannins to age very nicely.
